Welcome to H.A. Wooden Elementary! We proudly serve students in grades Pre-Kindergarten to 5. Serving the southeastern portion of Red Oak ISD, Wooden Elementary has deep roots in the community. Some of our marquee offerings include the district’s bilingual program, a strong PTA, as well as many after-school enrichment opportunities for students.

Community approved Bond Propositions

The Red Oak ISD community approved all three bond propositions on May 3. The propositions address growth, student opportunities, and aging facilities across the school district at a total of $213.9 million.

Lady Hawks - 3 Gold, State 2nd Place in Track

Congratulations to the 2025 Lady Hawks Track Team for an outstanding showing at the State Meet, May 2-3. They finished with three gold medals and second in 5A overall, scoring 54 points.

Dr. Joy Shaw MS - Construction Update

Red Oak ISD construction of the Dr. Joy Shaw Middle School, a second middle school for the District located off Westmoreland Rd., is on schedule and millions under budget. Read more about progress and see photos of the new school being constructed.
