Student Teacher Placement Process

Thank you for partnering with Red Oak ISD for your student teaching requirements! Please follow these district guidelines for placement:
- All ROISD student teacher placements are processed through the Human Resources Department. Students must apply online (FastTrack). This can be found under employment opportunities. Positions are open from mid-January through March for the fall semester, and August through October for the spring semester.
- After a student applies, the student will be contacted with additional information regarding the fingerprint and background check process. All student teachers must achieve approved status before being placed.
- There is a brief interview for all student teachers.
- Once the background check and interview process are completed, and the student is accepted, the Human Resources Department will share specific placement details with both the university and the student.
- Student teachers must attend a mandatory orientation before beginning their assignments.
*Students should not contact the campus principal or teacher until placement information has been provided by the Human Resources Department.
